Honestly my bank used to charge a $35 overdraft fee like clockwork. I finally set up all my payments to go out two days after my direct deposit hits. Tbh it was such a dumb simple fix but it took me years to actually do it. Now I just forget about it and that panic is completely gone. Feels good to not be giving them free money for no reason.

Setting up that timing is such a game changer. I remember getting hit with those same fees and it makes you feel so defeated, like @the_logan said. Banks really set things up to trip you up. Getting it sorted so the money is there first is such a relief, and that extra cash you keep is way better in your pocket.
