Just realized meal prepping on Sundays saves way more than I thought
I compared two months of buying lunch every day at work to a month of cooking 5 portions of chili every Sunday, and the difference was $180. Has anyone else done the math on their own habits and been surprised?

$180 isn't life changing money. You're still eating chili five days a week which sounds depressing.

Would you believe chili is one of the cheapest things to make in bulk? The ground meat, beans, and canned tomatoes stretch so far, and you get like 5 solid lunches for maybe $12 total. I did pork shoulder tacos one week and was shocked I saved nearly $50 compared to what I'd spend on Chipotle runs. Have you found any recipes that freeze well besides chili?
