Lost $200 on a meal prep delivery service that was supposed to save me money

I signed up for that cheap meal kit service, figured it would cut my grocery spending by like half. But after three weeks I realized the portions were tiny and I was still buying snacks and extras from the store to fill up. I checked my credit card and I dropped $215 on it total, plus an extra $80 on groceries. Has anyone else gotten burned by these budget meal plans that end up costing more?

Dude same thing happened to me with Green Chef, complete waste.

@lewis.charlie nailed it, Green Chef got me too. I thought I was being smart skipping takeout but ended up spending way more than my usual grocery run. The portions were laughable, I'd finish the meal and still be hungry so I'd order pizza or grab chips. By the end of the month I had spent $240 on the boxes plus another $90 at the store just to actually be full. Total scam for anyone trying to save.
