My dishwasher flooded the kitchen last Tuesday

The drain hose had a tiny crack I never noticed. Instead of calling a repair guy, I watched a 10 minute video and replaced it myself for $12 at the hardware store. Has anyone else fixed an appliance with a simple part swap like this?
