My grocery bill dropped $40 a month after I switched to store brand spices

I used to grab the fancy jars at the regular supermarket without thinking. About 3 months ago I tried the store brand cinnamon at Aldi because the name brand was $6. Turns out it tastes exactly the same, maybe even stronger. Now I buy all my spices there and my wallet feels way lighter. Has anyone else made a random switch like that and seen a quick payoff?

Same thing happened to me but with vanilla extract. The store brand was half the price and honestly tastes better in my cookies. Now I'm side-eyeing every name brand spice on the shelf.
