My uncle watched me meal prep and told me I was throwing money away on premium chicken breast
He pointed out that the store brand thighs were $1.50 less per pound and taste just as good in a stir fry, so now I buy those instead and put the savings toward buying fresh veggies instead of the frozen ones that always get freezer burn after two weeks - has anyone else gotten roasted by a relative over their grocery choices?

Yeah, that thing about the store brand thighs being cheaper and tasting just as good is straight facts. I mean, I used to think I was being fancy with organic chicken breast, but then my grandma basically told me I was paying for marketing and not flavor. Now I get the bulk pack of thighs and it's like half the price and way harder to dry out in a pan. You can definitely put that extra cash toward better produce or even some good seasoning, which makes way more of a difference than the cut of meat. Maybe it's just me but I feel like chicken breast is overrated for most weeknight meals anyway.

Overcooked so many dry breasts that I swear my oven's out to get me, but thighs come out juicy even when I accidentally leave them in for an extra ten minutes. Guess I'm just paying for the privilege of drying out chicken at this point.
