Overheard a neighbor say she tracks every single dollar on a whiteboard

I was grabbing my mail and heard her tell someone she's been doing it for 6 months and already paid off $3,200 in credit card debt. I've been bouncing between apps and spreadsheets for years, maybe a whiteboard in the kitchen would actually stick. Has anyone else tried a physical visual tracker and did it help you stay consistent?

Used to think whiteboards were old school but seeing results like that really makes me want one.
