Paid off $3,400 of credit card debt in 4 months and it felt way easier than I thought

I set a goal back in September to knock down my Visa balance that had been sitting there for years. I put $150 extra toward it each week from my side gig doing dog walking in my neighborhood. By last week I hit $0 on the balance and I honestly thought it would take way longer. The trick was paying it weekly instead of monthly so I didn't feel the hit as much. Has anyone else tried tiny frequent payments instead of big monthly chunks?

I mean, $3,400 is great but calling it a huge win after years of debt feels a little overblown. Paying off a card is just catching up, not some life changing milestone.

Hey man, good for you. That feeling of seeing a zero balance after years of carrying it must be sweet. I think the weekly payments idea is smart, it breaks it down so you don't dread that big monthly payment. I did something similar with a small personal loan once, sending in $50 every Friday instead of $200 at the end of the month, and it just felt less painful. Did you find that the weekly routine helped you stay on track mentally, or was it more about just making the numbers work?
