Question about visiting the Denver Coin Show on a budget
I went to the Denver Coin Show last Saturday and noticed how easy it is to blow $50 on a single coin if you aren't careful. Has anyone else found a way to stick to a spending limit at those big shows without feeling like you missed out?

Don't you think skipping the big ticket tables actually takes the fun out of a show like that? I'd rather save up for that one coin I really want than walk away with a bag of cheap stuff I'll forget about in a week.

Hear me out though. I grabbed a stack of those cheap bins last year at a local show and found a nicely toned 1921 Morgan that someone had totally missed. Spent maybe sixty bucks total on that whole bin dive and walked away with five or six coins I actually enjoy handling and looking at. That Morgan alone beats the thrill of staring at a five figure coin through a glass case that I'm never gonna actually own. Plus my kid loves having a little pile of random state quarters and foreign stuff to sort through, it got them into the hobby way more than one expensive coin ever would have. I get chasing the big fish but the little stuff keeps the fun alive for me.
