TIL those 'budgeting' apps can actually cost you more than they save
Paid for a premium subscription for a year, $80 total. It kept telling me to move money around but never actually helped me spend less. Anyone else feel like these tools just overcomplicate things?

Right? Mine just stressed me out for months.

Totally get that feeling. I finally broke mine down into tiny steps that felt less scary. Like, I'd just focus on one small piece each day instead of the whole huge thing. It made the stress way more manageable for me. Just crossing off those little wins gave me some momentum. Your mileage may vary, but that shift in how I looked at it was a game changer.

Does your friend ever claim that baby steps are pointless? My buddy Sarah was swamped with a freelance project and tried this, just tiny tasks each morning (like, literally opening the file was her first win) and she swore by it after a month. So jade32 is spot on about that shift in mindset, for real.
