Appreciation post for those little corner clamps that saved my cabinet face frames

I spent like 3 years using just a speed square and my eyeballs to get face frames square. Last week a buddy let me borrow his set of those cheap plastic corner clamps for a job and man what a difference. First cabinet I clamped up, checked with a square and it was dead on perfect. No more fighting with clamps sliding off or stuff shifting while I set the nail. Been doing this 12 years and I feel kinda stupid for not buying them sooner. Anyone else find a simple tool that changed how they work?

Man those clamps are great! I once used a phone book to shim a door.

12 years of eyeing it and now clamps do the job? Guess you finally upgraded from the caveman method of cabinet building. Did you trade in your rock hammer too?
