Customer asked me to match a 30 year old stain on a kitchen in Portland
Had a lady call me last month about her oak cabinets from 1994. She wanted me to build a new island that matched exactly. I told her it would take trial and error. Ended up mixing three different stains and laying them out over a week to test. She came by every afternoon to check progress. Finally got it close enough on the fifth try and she was happy. Anyone else get these impossible matching jobs?
