Stopped by a small shop in Portland last week and spotted something odd

I was picking up some walnut at this place near the river and noticed nearly every cabinet on their floor used dowel joinery instead of pocket holes. The owner said he switched after getting 3 callbacks in one month from customers complaining about visible screws. Anyone else seeing more shops move away from pocket holes?

Ha, I still use pocket holes and somehow manage to hide screws even from myself.
