Watched a $300 slab of walnut split right down the middle during a glue-up in my shop last Tuesday.

The humidity must have spiked overnight and I didn't check my meter, so the whole panel just popped. Anyone have a good salvage plan for something like that, or is it just firewood now?

My cousin turned a split tabletop into two matching nightstands... worked out okay.

Bet the leftover wood made decent shelves. Always need more storage.

Did you end up using any of the leftover pieces for small projects like that? It's amazing how a few scraps can turn into something useful if you have a little patience and a saw.
