Watching a local shop use a 3/4 inch spacer block for every single drawer slide install is driving me up a wall.

That lazy one-size-fits-all method ignores the specific slide brand's required reveal and guarantees sloppy, uneven gaps on every cabinet, which I know because I've had to fix three of their jobs this month alone.

Used to do the same thing to save time. Saw a job come back with drawers rubbing after six months. Now I check the spec sheet every time.
