Chose the lake house over the bunker, now I'm having second thoughts

Last spring I had the cash for one big prep purchase, either a place on Lake Texoma or a concrete shelter in the backyard. I picked the lake house because my wife wanted weekend fishing trips, and it's been great for cookouts. But now with all the talk about grid failures lasting weeks, I keep wondering if that 80 grand would've been better spent underground. Anyone else made a similar call and regret it when the headlines get wild?
