Crossed 500 missing persons map pins in Ohio, weird pattern

I keep a map of unresolved missing persons cases in my county for a local cold case group. Last Tuesday I added my 500th pin, a guy who vanished from a truck stop off I-71 back in 2014. What got me is that 317 of those pins cluster within 10 miles of old rail lines or decommissioned industrial sites. Is there a logical reason for that or is something else going on? Anyone else tracking numbers like this and seeing a geographical pattern?
