Ditched my expensive iron for a $15 steamer and never looked back

I spent 2 years fighting with a $120 iron that kept leaving scorch marks on my dress shirts for work. Last month I grabbed a handheld steamer at Target for 15 bucks and it smoothed out wrinkles in half the time with zero damage. Has anyone else found that cheaper tools actually work better for simple tasks?

Gotta disagree here. Those cheap steamers work fine for basic cotton tees or my linen pants, but they just don't get the sharp creases I need for my button-downs. I tried a $20 one and it left water spots on my dark shirts and took forever to get through a thick dress shirt. My old $80 iron might be a hassle to set up, but at least I can press a collar in 30 seconds flat without worrying about drips.
