Got called out for my whole approach after a conference in Chicago last year

I was at a conspiracy meetup in Chicago at the Sheraton downtown last October, and this retired engineer started asking me about my evidence chain for the JFK files. He pointed out I had three dates wrong in my timeline and I was mixing up witnesses from different floors of the book depository. Now I double check every single source before I bring it up in a debate. Has anyone else ever had their whole argument shredded by one person with better details?

My buddy Mark got torn apart at a UFO conference in Phoenix when a retired air force guy showed him his photo of a weather balloon was actually a lens flare from the hotel chandelier. He spent the next six months rebuilding his whole presentation from scratch.

Oh man, that reminds me of my buddy Dave. He had a whole presentation on orbs. Turned out it was just dust on his camera sensor.
