Had a guy on Reddit tell me my moon landing photos were too clear
Some dude named Dave commented on my lunar image gallery saying the shadows didn't match up because I used HDR processing lol. He pointed out that NASA's own Apollo 16 shots near the Descartes highlands had softer contrast. I spent like 4 hours re-editing all 12 photos to match natural lunar lighting conditions and honestly they look way more realistic now. Has anyone else gotten random critique that actually improved your space photography game?

You know @karent75, I used to be one of those guys who rolled my eyes at nitpicky feedback like that, but I've learned the hard way that sometimes the critics have a point. I had a similar experience with landscape shots where someone pointed out my saturation was too high, and once I dialed it back the photos actually looked more natural. Sometimes you gotta swallow your pride and admit the "Dave" types might know what they're talking about.

Man, that's just Dave being Dave, right? Now I'm scared to even post a clear photo of my cat in case someone tells me the whiskers are too sharp. Guess I'll stick to blurry shots for a while.
