Had a rough week after my neighbor's microwave interfered with my radio setup

I run a cheap SDR setup in my garage for listening to local air traffic, and last Tuesday all I got was static and buzzing. Walked outside and realized my neighbor's new microwave was blasting RF noise right through the wall every time they heated up lunch. Took me three days to figure out it was their unit, not my antenna. Anyone else dealt with a random appliance messing up their reception like that?

Same thing happened to me a couple years ago but with a cheap LED grow light my roommate bought on Amazon. I was trying to listen to a shortwave broadcast and suddenly got this loud buzzing that sounded like a swarm of bees in a blender. Took me a week to catch it turning on and off with the light timer. Ended up wrapping the power cord in ferrite beads and it helped a little, but mostly just told him to keep it in the basement.
