Just learned that the moon is slowly drifting away from Earth at 1.5 inches per year

Was reading a space facts website during my lunch break. Apparently in like 600 million years, total solar eclipses won't even be a thing anymore because the moon will be too far away to cover the sun completely. Kind of wild to think about something so basic changing forever.
