That guy who told me to just reinstall Windows was right all along
Spent 3 months chasing a weird GPU driver crash in Fortnite, tried every fix on Reddit. Finally broke down and did a clean install last night and it worked perfectly on the first boot. Anyone else stubbornly avoid the nuclear option for way too long?

Drove myself crazy for two weeks trying to get an old printer to work after a Windows update. Found a forum post where some guy said to just unplug it for exactly 30 seconds and plug it back in. Worked like magic. Spent all that time digging through device manager and downloading drivers when the fix was that dumb. Makes you wonder how many hours get wasted just because we assume the simple solution can't be the right one.

I mean, I get that reinstalling Windows works like 90% of the time for driver stuff, but is a three month goose chase really that bad if you learn something along the way? Spending that long on one game crash feels like either you really love Fortnite or maybe the problem wasn't as urgent as you thought. idk, sometimes the simple fix is right there but going through the complicated stuff builds character or whatever, right?
