Took me 3 months to figure out my sink draining slow was just a clogged vent pipe on the roof.

After snaking the drain 4 times and replacing the p-trap I finally climbed up there and cleared out a bird nest from the pipe, has anyone else had a simple fix like that take forever to find?

Wow, a whole bird nest? That's nuts, I would've never thought to look up there. I've spent hours under the sink cussing at pipes that were just fine. How'd you even get the idea to check the roof vent?

Read something similar in a home repair group last week. Roof vents cause weird problems.
