Found a 3 foot zucchini under my neighbors fence, it looked like a mutant baseball bat

Went out back this morning and this thing was just hanging over the chain link, all twisted and lumpy. My neighbor said she forgot to pick it for like 10 days. Cut it open and it was actually super sweet, made a huge batch of bread with it. How do you guys deal with the monster ones that get away from you? Do you still eat em or just compost em?

Wow, I used to just toss the big ones straight in the compost pile, figured they'd be woody and gross. But after reading this, I'm definitely gonna give the next monster a chance, especially if it's still got that sweet taste you found. Guess I was missing out on some free baking ingredients this whole time.
