My crooked carrot haul looked like a crime scene but tasted amazing
Pulled 23 carrots from my raised bed in Portland yesterday and every single one forked or twisted like some kind of mutant pretzel. I almost tossed them in the compost out of embarrassment, but roasted them with olive oil and salt and honestly they were sweeter than anything from the store. Anyone else find that ugly carrots beat the boring straight ones every time or did I just get lucky?
