My first ugly zucchini changed my whole view on growing veggies
Walked past the farmer's market last Saturday and heard a lady tell her friend "ugly ones taste better because the plant put all its energy into flavor, not looks." I had three twisted, lumpy zucchinis in my garden I was about to toss. Gave them a chance instead. Grilled them up with salt and oil. Best zucchini I ever ate. Anybody else notice the ugly ones from your garden taste way better than the perfect ones from the store?

Oh boy, it's just a zucchini, not some deep life lesson.

My neighbor once spent 20 minutes explaining the spiritual meaning of a cucumber. Dude, it's just a vegetable.
