My twisted carrot finally tasted better than the perfect ones from the store
Turns out those gnarly, forked carrots actually have more sugar than the straight supermarket ones, I read it in a seed catalog last Tuesday while digging out a three-legged beet that somehow grew next to it, and it made me wonder if anyone else has found their misshapen veggies pack more flavor than the pretty ones?

Blanch and roast them, the ugly ones caramelize way better.
