PSA: my sad tomato plant in a 5 gallon bucket went from 2 tomatoes to 31 in six weeks
Back in May I put a single cherry tomato in a bucket by the driveway in Fresno and it just sat there looking pitiful, two sad little fruits by the end of June. My neighbor's kid pointed out the bucket was sitting on hot concrete and getting baked all afternoon, so I moved it against the fence for some shade and started dumping my coffee water in it every morning. Six weeks later that thing is a jungle and I pulled 31 tomatoes off it this weekend, half of them cracked and ugly as sin but sweeter than anything from the store. Anyone else had a plant totally turn around just from moving it a few feet?
