Back in 2019, I thought the whole 'digital nomad visa' thing for places like Estonia was just a PR stunt. Spent 6 months in Lisbon on a tourist visa instead, always looking over my shoulder. Finally applied for the Estonian one last year... the peace of mind is actually real. The bank account setup alone saved me a huge headache with a client from Berlin.
