Coworking manager in Medellin told me I was using the noise-canceling headphones wrong

He said I had them pointed backwards so the mic wasn't picking up my voice, I flipped them around and suddenly my client calls stopped getting complaints about mumbling, anyone else find out they were doing something basic wrong for months?

Ha, wait. So you were basically wearing them like a set of backwards headphones for months? That's impressive in its own weird way. I'm not judging, I had a buddy who used his webcam microphone for Zoom calls for a whole year before someone told him his laptop had a built-in mic. It happens to the best of us, man. At least you caught it and it fixed the problem, right?

I mean, I actually read something the other day about how a lot of people don't realize their headphones might be on backwards because most of them look almost the same on both sides now. I guess with the old ones you could tell because the wire came out of one side but now everything's wireless and it's a mess. Your buddy with the webcam mic is honestly hilarious though, like did no one in any of those Zoom meetings say anything? Maybe it's just me but I feel like someone would've spoken up after a year. Anyway, at least he's not alone in the tech facepalm club.
