Coworking spaces used to feel like a ripoff to me

I thought paying $200 a month to sit in a room with strangers was a waste until I tried one in Medellin last year. The WiFi was solid, I met three clients through random conversations at the coffee machine. Has anyone else had coworking change their mind about something they were set against?
