Forgot my portable charger in a taxi in Bangkok and my laptop died at a co-working space

I was at this place called Glowfish near Thong Lo when my battery hit 3% and I realized the charger was gone, so I scrambled to borrow a generic USB-C cable from the barista and barely saved my project file. Has anyone else had to rely on random café staff for gear in a pinch?

I mean maybe it's just me but I always keep a backup charger in my bag for this exact reason.
