I used to think working from a beach was the dream, then I got sand in my laptop in Da Nang.

Try working from a saltwater pool instead.

Notice how every "work from anywhere" ad shows someone on a beach or in a pool. It's not about the work, it's about selling a feeling of total freedom. The saltwater pool idea is just the next step in that. They want us to believe our biggest problem is not being wet while answering emails. It turns real work-life balance struggles into a joke about where you sit. The whole thing feels like a way to ignore the actual hard parts of remote work, like setting boundaries or feeling alone.

Has anyone else actually tried working from a saltwater pool? I did it once and the WiFi kept cutting out plus my laptop screen got all foggy. It's way better in theory than in practice for sure.
