I wrote off coworking spaces for years but now I'm hooked

For like 2 years I was convinced coworking was a scam. You pay $300 a month just to sit in a room with strangers and crappy wifi. Then last month I was in Medellin and booked a day pass at Selina out of desperation because my hostel room had no AC. I got more work done in 4 hours than I had in 3 days prior. The constant background noise actually helped me focus. Has anyone else had their mind changed on these places after trying one?

Yeah, the background noise thing surprised me too... I used to think I needed total silence but now I can't focus without a little buzz around me. Did you find yourself getting more done in those few hours?

My productivity shot up mostly because I stopped obsessively overthinking every little sound (which was honestly like half my workday before). Joking aside, having that low level hum just takes the edge off my perfectionist brain long enough to actually start something. Guess I traded my noise-cancelling headphones for a coffee shop habit.
