Pro tip: the 2 PM library trick in Chiang Mai saved my whole work week
I kept losing focus at my Airbnb because the wifi would spike and drop every 20 minutes. So last Tuesday I tried the public library near Tha Phae Gate, and the connection was rock solid for 5 hours straight with free AC. The catch is you have to get there by 2 PM or all the good desks with power outlets are taken. Has anyone else found a reliable backup spot in a city they were bouncing through? I'm gonna need one for Ho Chi Minh next month and I don't want to figure it out the hard way.

I read a travel blog last month that swore by the coffee shop at the Saigon Zoo entrance, but that sounded too loud for real work. My cousin spent two weeks in HCMC and ended up just paying for a coworking day pass near Ben Thanh market, said it was like 8 bucks and the wifi never blinked. He also mentioned the city library on Ly Tu Trong street but the hours were weird, closed for lunch until 1 PM. Maybe look for one of those quiet chains like The Coffee House, they have outlets in most locations. Better to scope it out on Google Maps street view before you land, that trick saved me in Bangkok once.
