Question about internet speed in Medellin. My download went from 5 Mbps to 50 Mbps after I switched from a shared Airbnb router to a local SIM with a dedicated hotspot. What's the most reliable setup you've found?

Tell me about it, those shared Airbnb routers are basically internet torture devices. @mary239 is right, a local SIM is the only way to go if you need real speed. You went from a sad dial-up memory to actual modern life. I always get a Claro SIM the second I land, the prepaid plans are cheap and fast. Relying on a host's wifi is a sure way to ruin your trip.
