Switched my SIM to an eSIM a month ago and my data costs dropped by half
I was paying like $50 a month for a local SIM in Thailand, then tried Airalo for Bangkok. Turns out my phone works better with an eSIM and I'm spending around $25 for 10GB now. Has anyone else noticed their connection getting slower with eSIMs in crowded places like malls?

My Airalo eSIM actually holds up fine in packed MBK, never had any slowdown there.

And that's actually good to hear because I've had mixed luck with network stuff in those crowded Thai malls too. My friend was trying to load a map at Siam Paragon last trip and it just kept spinning, so maybe Airalo is doing something different with their connections. Makes me want to try one next time I head over instead of my usual roaming plan.
