That $700 coworking membership in Bali was a total waste

I paid $700 for a month at a fancy coworking spot in Canggu and ended up working from my hostel lobby because the AC blasted freezing air and the wifi dropped every 40 minutes, has anyone else found that the expensive places are worse than the cheap cafes?

So did you actually scope out the place before paying, or was it a total blind booking? I feel like the pics on Instagram never show the real vibe of those spots.
