That stranger in Chiang Mai was right about the coworking spot with no AC

I met a guy at a night market stall who told me to avoid the popular air conditioned coworking space and go to the one with open windows and ceiling fans instead. I figured he was just being a contrarian, so I ignored him and paid $12 a day for the fancy spot for a week. Then my laptop overheated twice during video calls and the constant hum of the AC actually gave me a headache. Ended up trying his spot on a whim, sat next to a nice woman from Norway, and got more work done in 3 hours than I did all week. Anyone else find that the less comfortable looking places end up being the best for focus?
