This whole "work from anywhere" thing has a hidden cost nobody talks about
I spent 6 months in a tiny beach town in Thailand last year and figured out that coworking spaces there charge $150 a month for a desk, but the real killer is the internet. Everyone hypes up the cheap living, but they forget to mention that you need to buy three different SIM cards just to get consistent video call quality for a $2,000 client. Has anyone else been burned by assuming the WiFi would be decent in a place that looks perfect on Instagram?

Yeah, the Instagram vs reality gap on WiFi is brutal.

Oh man, I used to think people were just being dramatic about that stuff. I was like, "just turn off the wifi and use data, problem solved." But then I moved into this old apartment building with brick walls everywhere and my signal just dies the second I walk into my bedroom. Now I totally get it, you can have the perfect lighting and everything set up but if your connection craps out mid-story your whole vibe is ruined.
