Tried coworking at a beachside cafe in Bali for a week, my productivity tanked 40% compared to my hostel desk

The WiFi cut out every 20 minutes and I spent more time dodging sand fleas than actually answering emails, has anyone else found that "Instagrammable" workspaces are total traps for getting real work done?

Blame the WiFi for tanking your numbers, not the scenery. Honestly, you probably got more done dodging sand fleas than you would have in some soulless cubicle.

Honestly, you gotta scope out the cafe's actual setup first - I always check Google reviews for "WiFi" and "power outlet" mentions. Those Instagram spots are built for photos, not VPNs and spreadsheets lol.

Wait, you're telling me those perfectly lit latte photos might be hiding a dead zone for cell service and only one outlet behind a plant? I learned that lesson the hard way when I showed up to a "trendy" spot with my laptop and the WiFi password was just "ask us" but nobody at the counter knew it. Google reviews are the real MVP here, especially the ones from people who actually tried to get work done instead of just taking selfies.
