Basement drain backup solved with a $15 auger and a lot of swearing
Water started bubbling up through the floor drain during a big storm last Tuesday in Columbus, so I rented a 25-foot auger from the depot and spent an hour clearing out what looked like a decade of soap scum and roots. Has anyone else had a backup that turned out to be a tree root invasion, and how did you keep it from coming back?

Did you try pouring copper sulfate down the drain every spring, that kept mine clear for years?
