My epoxy garage floor turned yellow in 3 months, here's what I learned
I spent a full weekend last fall doing a two-part epoxy coating on my garage floor in Austin. Looked amazing for about 90 days, then the area near the window started turning this weird yellow tan color. Turns out I skipped the UV-resistant topcoat because the guy at the paint store said it was optional. He was wrong, obviously. The cure time and temperature matter too, I laid it when it was 85 degrees and that messed with the finish. Should I sand it down and redo just that patch, or is it gonna look worse if I try to blend it?

Skipped the UV-resistant topcoat because it was optional" is like skipping sunscreen in Texas and being shocked you got burned. That patch near the window is gonna keep yellowing no matter what, so blending it is just putting lipstick on a pig. Sand it down, redo the whole floor, and pay for the topcoat this time, your future self will thank you.
