My garage door spring snapped at 6 AM and I panicked for no reason

Woke up Tuesday to the loudest bang I've ever heard, thought a tree hit the house. Turns out the torsion spring on my 16-foot door just gave up after 14 years. Watched three YouTube videos, bought a $35 replacement at Home Depot in Tacoma, and had it fixed by noon. Anyone else ever swapped one of these solo or should I have called a pro for the winding part?
