My neighbor casually fixed a leaky faucet in 10 minutes and I felt dumb
I spent like 3 hours last week trying to stop a slow drip under my kitchen sink. Watched like 4 different YouTube videos, went to the hardware store twice, and still had a puddle on the floor. Then my neighbor Bob from two doors down saw me carrying a wrench out and asked what was up. He came over, tightened one nut I missed with his fingers, and it was done in under 10 minutes lol. He said most people overcomplicate plumbing and it's usually just a loose washer or a quick turn. Made me realize I gotta stop diving into tutorials before I even check the simple stuff. Has anyone else had a neighbor save them from a dumb DIY fail? What's your go to quick fix that took you way too long to learn?

Bob got you covered with the finger-tight trick huh?

Noticed that same shortcut works on half the stuff around my house - from sink sprayers to lawn mower carburetors. It's one of those little tricks that makes you wonder why they bother putting tool fittings on some of this stuff in the first place. Bob's probably saved me twenty minutes of digging through the toolbox this month alone.
