Gotta love when someone points out a mistake you've been looking at for weeks without noticing, right? Had the same thing happen with my fence boards a few years back. I was so proud of how straight they looked from the house, then my buddy comes over and casually mentions the smooth side should be facing out, not the rough cut side. Ended up having to pull and flip about 40 boards on a hot Saturday afternoon. Made me realize I should probably ask for opinions before I get too far into these projects (though my pride usually gets in the way).
