Rant: Hit 5,000 drywall screws last month and the bucket is a lie

I was counting screws while fixing my basement ceiling in Portland and realized I used exactly 4,785 screws on one 12x15 room. The 5-pound bucket I bought said it held enough for a whole house, but I barely got through half the job before I ran out. Has anyone else noticed the screw counts on those buckets are way off or am I just using too many?

Wait, are you telling me I couldve just counted screws instead of buying a third bucket for my garage and then finding 200 extras under the couch?
