Thought I could paint a room in an afternoon, took me 4 days

I was sure painting my guest bedroom would be a quick weekend job, but after prepping the walls, taping off the trim, and doing two coats with drying time in between, it ended up taking from Tuesday to Friday evening. The killer was waiting 12 hours between coats like the Behr can said, plus I had to patch three holes I didn't notice until the first coat went on. The room is only 10x12 but the whole process humbled me fast. Anybody else underestimate a simple paint job by a mile?

Man the tape and patch work always gets you. Did you use the blue or green frog tape? I swear by the green but still get bleed through sometimes. How many trips to the hardware store did you make? I always end up going back at least twice for something dumb like stir sticks or a better brush.
