Convection vs conduction vapes - I wasted 6 months on the wrong type
I spent half a year using a cheap conduction vape from a smoke shop in Phoenix thinking it was fine. Tasted burnt no matter what temp I set, even at 350F. Then a buddy let me try his convection unit and I couldn't believe the difference in flavor. The herb tasted like it smelled fresh out of the jar for the first time. Cleaning was way easier too since nothing was baking onto the chamber walls. I honestly think convection is the only way to go if flavor matters to you at all. Anyone else make the switch and wonder why they waited so long?

Small correction on the temperature part, 350F is actually pretty high for most conduction vapes and that burnt taste usually comes from uneven heating at any temp. Convection definitely gives better flavor but even a good conduction unit can taste clean if you start around 375F and stir the bowl between hits. Glad you found what works for you though, that first convection session really is a game changer.

bettyhunt you're dead on about the stirring, that's the trick nobody talks about enough. I ran a Pax for years and thought burnt taste was just how it was until I started packing it loose and rotating the bowl every few hits. Suddenly I was getting clouds without that gross popcorn flavor. Your tip about convection being better makes total sense too, I'm saving up for one of those now.
